The AEN is a non-profit, non-partisan umbrella organization dedicated to helping preserve and protect Alberta’s environment. Membership in the AEN is open to any non-profit, non-governmental organization demonstrating sincere concern and action toward a healthier environment.

Directory of Watershed Stewardship in Alberta
The directory contains contact information and activity profiles for stewardship groups involved in air, land, water, or biodiversity stewardship in Alberta’s watersheds - it includes over 125 local stewardship groups, 10 Aboriginal stewardship groups, 42 non-government organizations, 96 government departments or agencies, and 13 industry groups!
CASA (Clean Air Strategic Alliance)
The Clean Air Strategic Alliance (CASA) was established in March 1994 as a new way to manage air quality issues in Alberta. CASA, a non-profit association, is a multi-stakeholder partnership, composed of representatives selected by industry, government and non-government organizations

Environmental Law Centre
The Environmental Law Centre (ELC) was established in 1982 to provide Albertans with an objective source of information about environmental and natural resources law and policy. Its vision is a clean, healthy and diverse environment protected through informed citizen participation and sound law and policy, effectively applied.
The Centre's mission is to ensure that laws, policies and legal processes protect the environment. In pursuit of this mission, the Centre seeks the following ends:
- enactment and effective enforcement of sound environmental laws and policies; and
- informed public participation in environmental regulatory, law-making and decision-making processes.
Pembina Institute
The Pembina Institute is an independent, not-for-profit environmental policy research and education organization. The Pembina Institute’s major policy research and education programs are in the areas of sustainable energy, climate change, environmental governance, ecological fiscal reform, sustainability indicators, and the environmental impacts of the energy industry.
