AOPA Concern #9: Manure stockpiling
The Oct 2006 changes to AOPA regulations allow CFO operators to temporarily stockpile manure on land which is not part of the CFO facility. There is no limit as to the number of stockpiles permitted on a given parcel of land. Residents concerned about air quality and potential water contamination are afforded little opportunity to raise concerns.
